My husband and I traveled with our two geriatric dogs. We had three (litter mates) until we lost one of them suddenly in February due to illness. We could not travel without them due to their confusion and separation anxiety that followed. I was thrilled to find a pet friendly home with a private pool that allowed us to get away for a bit. This property was perfect. The pool and pool deck are a good size and the fenced in yard includes safe space for our boys to be off leash and secure. The stairs from the first floor to the pool deck were manageable for our boys and easy to navigate. It would be perfect for small kids who struggle to navigate a whole flight of outdoor stairs, which are common so close to the shore. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. While we did not use any of the upstairs bedrooms they were all well appointed and comfortable looking. The bunk room would be an adventure for children and was well constructed and solid. I noticed other reviews complaining of cleanliness issues. We did not encounter this and I am picky. There was dust on the blinds here and there but that is unavoidable in a home that is often open to the breeze. Speaking of the breeze, both large balconies toward the gulf are screened. This is a lovely feature because it allowed us to open the doors and enjoy the air flowing through the home without worrying about bugs. I loved reading on the balcony at every time of day. We would definitely stay here again and bring along many more of our family. It was well worth it for just my husband and me and the dogs to be able to be together so close to the waves and without a long stair run for the dogs to navigate to get there.
