Cape San Blas is located in Gulf County, Florida.  Over the years it has been called many names such as Cape Sand Blas, Cape Sand Blast, Cape San Blass, Cape Sand Blass, Cape San Blast, Cape St. Blas,  Cape Sanblas, or simply "The Cape". We locals just call it Paradise!

With the Gulf of Mexico on one side and pristine St. Joseph Bay on the other, St. Joseph's Peninsula and Cape San Blas are geographically unique. The absence of freshwater flow into the bay creates better water clarity and higher salinity. This is the only bay in Florida that can make that claim. So come visit Cape San Blas and "Old Florida".

There are endless actvities the entire family will enjoy. Scalloping, snorkeling, seafood festivals, boating, bird watching, crabbing, kayaking, sand castles, scooters, bonfires, beach driving and so much more. You can even play fetch with your dog on the beach anytime you like! Cape San Blas, Fl. is also fast becoming a popular area for eco-tourism.

Whatever you enjoy in a beach vacation you will find on or near Cape San Blas. However, you won't find the crowds of other beach towns. Close by are several areas to explore. First, there is the T.H. Stone St. Joseph Peninsula State Park located at the North end of the peninsula or "The Cape". The park has a boat ramp located coveniently at Eagle Harbor. St. Vincent Wildlife Refuge is just a short 5 minute drive and a great place to see all kinds of wildlife. Don't forget a visit to the historic Cape San Blas Lighthouse while you are here. Check out the "other links" page for more information about the lighthouse or state park.

If you love golf, visit St. Joseph Bay Country Club in nearby Simmon's Bayou. The golf course is open to the public. Tee times are usually not needed, but you may wish to call ahead. The women's golf association gathers on Thursday mornings and has course priority until approximately noon. Weekends are seldom overly crowded, still check in advance to confirm particular times. The clubhouse number is (850) 227-1751.

Simmon's Bayou is also home to Presnell's Marina which features a boat ramp with great access to St. Joseph Bay. This is a great place to launch during scallop season.
